Evgenia Tzortzi works for the last 18 years as a financial news editor for the daily newspaper Kathimerini, one of the leading publications of Greece with a high international profile thanks to its English edition. She has covered a wide range of macroeconomic issues, with her main areas of interest being the banking and insurance sector, financial markets regulation, EU policy and particularly the use of the Structural Funds in Greece.
She also appeared on the daily news programe of SKAI TV channel “SKAI with Nikos Evangelatos”, as a commentator on economic and financial news and she participates as a panelist in round tables for conferences and commentator for radio or TV broadcasts. During her long journalistic career, which spans 20 years, Evgenia researched and wrote articles for several newspaper, financial magazines and websites, like Avgi, Ependitis, Fortune (Greek edition), The Industrial Review, Insurance World and recently for the website Mononews. In the past she worked as a correspondent for the radio station Flash 9,61. She was also a contributor in the book “How to Save your Money” by the French author Mark Fiorentino, having written the chapter for the Greek version.
Evgenia has graduated from the University of Piraeus with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. She also graduated from the Workshop for Professional Journalists before she started working full-time. She speaks English and German.
